Got this other day at tractor supply, one of only two that they had in stock. Originally was gonna go for the 42 inch deck but only had cub cadet engine and the display model already had bunch of corrosion on it compared to the Kohlers and the kawasaki. So I ended up going with the 46 inch deck model with the nice kawasaki engine. so brand brand new. Tested out last night and very happy with it. Only bummer is that they dont include hour meters now which is nuts but still love it. You can buy and install them pretty easily.
Just purchased the XT1 LT46 Cub Cadet mower after researching several mowers in this class including the Green brand. Settled on this mower based upon recommendations from family members. The specs are great with high quality components such as the Kawasaki engine and Tufftorq transaxle. The servicing dealer has a great reputation and is located nearby. The mower appears to be well built with quality construction. I replaced an Ariens 46" hydro this is still operating but 14 years old. I look forward to this mower giving me similar life and service.
Tractor Supply was where I bought my "Cubbie". Walked down the outsude line up of various brands at multiple big-box stores kicking tires, popping the hoods, sitting in driver seats, playing with deck height adjustment and operator controls. The Cub deck height adjustment is much more precise over my old Husqvarna rider. The 5 year warranty and kawasaki engine pushed me over the top to call the girl to pull the locking cable off the Cub.
I shopped around for a few months and found nothing checked all the boxes. The XT1 LT46KW checked all the boxes with the Kawasaki engine, 46 inch deck, and hydrostatic drive. Only one company matched that, but wanted $1k more for just the color on the tractor. Only complaint I have is that it didn't an hour meter on it. Otherwise I am very pleased!
This was my first riding mower and am thrilled. While not the most expensive, the LT46KW has plenty of power and maneuverability, is easy to understand. Delivery was quick and easy too.
